Terms of service
Last updated 4 November 2026
1.Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and the company that operates TandemX, named at the foot of this page ("TandemX", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of our website, DemoX and TandemX, including BotX (together, the "Services").
By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you have a signed agreement with us
Where your organisation has a signed agreement, order form or statement of work with TandemX, that document governs the Services it covers. If it conflicts with these Terms, the signed document takes precedence.
2.Who can use the Services
The Services are designed for business and commercial use. To use them you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
- If you use them on behalf of an organisation, have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3.The website
The website describes our products and our plans. Examples on it that are marked as illustrative or as sample data are explanations of how the product is intended to work. They are not customer results and not a specification.
Statements about the future
The website describes a long-term ambition, including building toward AGI for business. These are statements of direction. They are not commitments, warranties or descriptions of current capability, and you should not rely on them when deciding to buy. What a customer receives is set out in that customer’s agreement.
4.DemoX
DemoX lets you try TandemX on a ready-made business, then see what it can do with your own work through supported connected-account features. It is an evaluation service. Sample-business scenarios and connected-account work have different effects:
- Use the supplied fictional records in sample scenarios. Sample prices, dates and documents are illustrative, not offers, real bookings or changes to your ERP.
- You may provide business information or connect your own accounts where the feature supports it and you have authority to share and process that information. Your organisation’s rules and any agreement with us still apply.
- Do not put passwords, private keys or other authentication secrets in chat. If a task needs regulated or specially protected information, first establish the permissions, appropriate safeguards and any additional agreement required for that use.
- Demonstration email features can send real messages to the address specified for that run. Connected-account actions can affect real accounts: review the account, recipients, content and other details before confirming an action. DemoX’s current Google send, calendar-change and Drive-save actions require confirmation of the proposed details; Outlook access is currently read-only.
- Connecting an ERP read preview does not make the sample workflows live ERP transactions. Supported features and permissions shown in the product define what can actually run.
- A configured bank or customer-payment feature may involve a separate provider’s consent or payment screen. Check whether it is a sandbox or live feature, and review the account, amount, currency and payee before authorising a real transaction. A sample invoice is not a charge for a TandemX subscription.
- Optional analytics and sample-demo training sharing are separate choices. Real connected-account information must not be submitted as sample training material. The Privacy Policy explains collection, processing and retention.
- We may limit, change or withdraw DemoX at any time.
5.TandemX and BotX
When your organisation uses TandemX, employees work with BotX on their requests, files and authorised business information. BotX carries out supported actions within the permissions you set. The following applies in addition to your agreement with us.
Your authority
You decide which systems and records are connected, which actions agents may take, and which actions need a person’s approval. You are responsible for those settings and for the approvals your people give.
Your decisions
TandemX prepares, recommends and carries out work within the permissions you set. Commercial, quality, safety, regulatory and financial decisions remain yours. Specifications, quality limits, commercial policy and permissions change only when someone with the right authority in your organisation changes them.
Your records
The quality of the work depends on the records you connect. Where information is missing or in conflict, TandemX is designed to flag it for a person to resolve. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information your organisation provides and confirms.
Physical and regulated work
TandemX does not perform physical work such as laboratory testing, and does not replace qualified review or regulatory sign-off. Documents such as certificates of analysis must rest on work that has actually been completed and authorised by your organisation.
6.AI-generated output
The Services use AI models. AI-generated output, including drafts, classifications, recommendations, estimates and summaries, can be wrong or incomplete. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Review output before you rely on it, particularly anything sent to a customer, supplier or regulator, and anything that commits money or product.
7.Accounts and security
Some Services require an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- Tell us immediately about any unauthorised access.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of these Terms, for fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
8.Subscriptions and service changes
DemoX includes free access subject to the usage limits shown in the product. Some Services, additional usage or credits may require payment. The applicable price, currency, included usage, renewal terms and any credit expiry are those shown before purchase or in your agreement.
Free trials
Creating a free DemoX account does not by itself authorise a charge or start a paid subscription. A trial converts to paid access only if that conversion and its price and timing are clearly disclosed and you agree to them when enrolling.
Changes to the Services
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to tell users about significant changes.
9.Payment
- Fees are quoted in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
- Where offered, subscriptions are billed on the cycle you agree to. Separately purchased usage credits follow the purchase terms shown for those credits.
- Fees are non-refundable except as these Terms expressly provide.
- By completing a paid purchase, you authorise the disclosed charges and any recurring charges you expressly agree to. Using a free account alone does not authorise payment.
- Fees exclude taxes. You are responsible for all taxes associated with your use of the Services.
Price changes
We may change our prices. A change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and we give at least 30 days’ notice of any increase.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until payment is received. Continued failure to pay may lead to termination of the account.
10.Refunds
You may request a full refund within fifteen (15) days of your initial purchase. The window applies to new subscriptions only and starts on the date of your first payment.
To be eligible
- The request is made within 15 days of the initial purchase.
- You have not violated these Terms.
- Your account has not been terminated for cause.
Not refundable
- Subscription renewals.
- Add-on services and one-time purchases.
- Usage-based fees, such as API calls and enrichment credits.
- Customisation and implementation services.
- Any purchase made more than 15 days ago.
How to request one
Email billing@tandemx.ai with your account details and the reason. Approved refunds are normally processed within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method; your payment provider may take additional time. Access to the refunded paid features may end when the refund is approved. Data handling follows the Privacy Policy. Nothing in this section limits mandatory refund rights under applicable law.
11.Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription through the cancellation controls provided for that purchase, or by emailing support@tandemx.ai. Unless the purchase terms say otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
- You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- There are no partial refunds for unused time, except within the 15-day window.
- Cancellation of paid access and deletion of account data are separate. Request any needed export before access ends, and contact privacy@tandemx.ai about account or content deletion. Retention follows the Privacy Policy and any applicable customer agreement; cancellation does not promise an automatic 30-day deletion or export window.
12.Acceptable use
Use the Services only for lawful business purposes and in line with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, or in breach of data protection or anti-spam law.
- Send unsolicited communications through our email features.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with or disrupt the Services.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Services.
- Copy, modify or distribute our content without permission.
- Use the Services to harm minors in any way.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Access the Services with automated systems without permission.
- Upload malicious code.
- Harvest user data without consent.
- Use the Services to compete with TandemX.
When you send email through the Services you must comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR and other applicable email rules; send only to recipients who have consented or with whom you have a business relationship; include accurate sender information and a way to unsubscribe; avoid deceptive content; and honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
13.Intellectual property
Ours
The Services, including all content, features and functionality, are owned by TandemX and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
Yours
You keep ownership of the content and business records you submit to the Services. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, process and store that content for the purpose of providing the Services.
Feedback
If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
14.Data and privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy at tandemx.ai/privacy, which forms part of these Terms.
15.Third-party services
The Services may connect to or link to third-party services, such as your ERP, email provider or data providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, or for the accuracy or availability of data they supply.
16.Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.
17.Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limits on liability, so these limits may not apply to you.
18.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TandemX and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses or expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising from:
- Your use of the Services.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
- Content you submit to the Services.
19.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to take part in a class action.
Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights or confidentiality obligations.
20.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms here and change the date above. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the new Terms.
21.General
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and TandemX about the Services, subject to any signed agreement described in section 1.
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full force.
- Waiver: our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them at any time without notice.
